My true friend dog brooch crochet pattern, PDF in English

Everybody knows that a dog is a true friend to a human. From them you can get even a better understanding than from any close people, they are able to listen to you and would never make you feel lonely.

So this is how I called this brooch, “My true friend”. Let’s crochet it together. It will become an embodiment of your love to all creatures great and small. Also, if you do have such a friend, this accessory will remind you that your pet is always waiting for you at home.

(Due to the presence of small parts, this toy is not suitable for the children under 10)

This crochet tutorial is written in English (US terms), in .pdf format consists of 8 pages and includes around 30 photos

To crochet dog you would need:

1.Basic crochet skills: magic ring, single crochet, decrease, increase

2.Materials:

-Any lace yarn. My yarns are all of the same weight. They are 100% mercerized cotton, measuring 330 m/50 gr (365 yds / 1.76 oz), Pelican by Vita in peach , little of brown yarn to make the dog-collar

-Matching hook. Mine is 0.75 mm (metric)

-Filler

-Black and white Mouline floss (or any lace/fingering yarn) to design the snout

-Metallized Mouline floss to embellish the brooch with French knots

-1 insertable eye, 2 mm in diameter

-Liquid instant glue to attach eyes

-Brooch pin, mine is 2 cm

-Scissors, fine needle

-Pins

-Stitch marker (I have a contrasting thread)

If you use the materials mentioned above, the dog’s height will be around 4.5 cm (~ 2 inches )
