You will never go unnoticed with this hot and cool sloth guy. I have checked it by my own experience. There is a wire frame inside the brooch which makes arms, legs and fingers movable. This pdf file contains written instructions and links to video tutorials where I show how to make the frame.

Due to the presence of small parts, this toy is not suitable for the children under 10.

Here is the list of what you would need –

1. Basic crochet skills: chain stitch, magic ring, single crochet, decrease, increase.

2. Materials:

• Any fingering yarn. My yarns are 100% mercerized cotton: Upseshnaya by Pechorka 220 m /50 gr (240 yds 1.76 oz) and Coco by Vita 240 m / 50 gr (262 yds / 1.76 oz) –  3-ply yarns in beige (main color), black (paws), white (snot) and brown (eyes) colors.
• Matching hook. Mine is 1.25 mm (metric)
• I made the scarf with a Pelican by Vita yarn 330 m / 50 gr ( 360 yds / 1.76 oz) – lace yarn and 0.75 mm hook
• Fiberfill
• Black mouline floss to make fingers to design the snout
• Wire. I have a floristic wire in cable braiding. 0.7 mm (metric) for body and 0.5 mm for fingers. Further they would be called “thick” and “thin” respectively.
• Pliers and round pliers to work with the wire.
• Sticking plaster, transparent CA glue (or similar) to make the frame.
• I have glass eyes on a stem, 3 mm. A bead will do as well.
• The eyes are glued on with a liquid CA glue.
• Brooch pin, mine is 2 cm
• Scissors, fine needle
• Pins
• Stitch marker (I have a contrasting thread)

If you use the materials mentioned above, you’ll get a 6 cm (2.36 inch) brooch with straight legs
