Crochet pattern bundle: Helicopter, car, tractor, steam boat brooch crochet pattern, PDF in ENG

Here you can find 4 crochet patterns from the “Machines” series: steam boat, helicopter, car and tractor.

The patterns are written and accompanied by photos. The pattern is in English and is intended for those who already have some skills in toy crochet.

(Due to the presence of small parts, this toy is not suitable for the children under 10)

 

To crochet the brooches you will need:

1. Basic crochet skills: single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, increase, decrease, chain stitch, slip stitch

2. Materials:

• Any fingering yarn, all of the same weight. Mine yarns are 100% mercerized cotton (3-ply yarns): Coco by Vita ( 240 m / 50 gr – 262 yds/ 1.76 oz) and Uspeshnaya by Pekhorka ( 220 m / 50 rg – 240 yds / 1.76 oz) of different colors. To crochet the illuminators you will need finer yarn – Pelican by Vita measuring 330 m / 50 gr ( 360 yds / 1.76 oz).

• Matching hooks – mine are 1.25 mm and 0.75 mm metric

• Filler

• A cut (~20 cm – 8 inches) of fine wire to make the landing wheels and the lifting propeller. I have a floristic wire 0.6 mm

• Round pliers and usual pliers to work with the wire.

• Sticking tape to wrap around the wire

• Transparent CA glue or some similar to wrap the wire with.

• 2 mm eyes (beads will do), 3 mm insertable eyes

• Black embroidery floss to design the snout

• Brooch pin, mine is 2 cm

• Scissors, fine needle

• Pins

• Stitch marker (I have a contrasting thread)

If the mentioned materials are used, the sizes of the brooches will be from 4 to 6 cm (~1.5 inch x 2.3 inches)
