This crochet tutorial is written in English (US terms).
To crochet cat brooch you would need:
1. Basic crochet skills: magic ring, single crochet, decrease, increase
2. Materials:
l Any lace yarn. All colors are of the same weight. Mine are 100% mercerized cotton, Pelican by Vita 330m/50gr (365 yds/1.76 oz) in grey (basic), white (eyes), blue (clothes), brown (tail stripes) and peach (heart) colors.
l Matching hook. Mine is 0.75 mm (metric)
l Filler
l Eyes. I have glass eyes on a stem, 2mm. Beads will do as well.
l Black embroidery floss to design the snout.
l Any fine wire ~10 cm to make the ball. I have a white braided floristic wire 0.5 mm.
l Pliers to work with the wire.
l Glue for eyes and wire.
l Brooch pin, mine is 2,5 cm
l Scissors, fine needle
l Pins
l Stitch marker (I have a contrasting thread)
3. My detailed crochet tutorial. Good mood as an addition.
If you use the materials mentioned above, the size of the toy will be around 7х5 cm (`2.8×1.9 inch). The height of the cat is 6 cm (2.3 inch), the size of the heart is 2.5×2 cm (`0.7×0.78 inches) .
