Rat toy crochet pattern, PDF in English

You will not let this toy go out of your hands, you’d want to keep on playing. You and your child are sure to like it. Arms, legs and tail are framed so you can pose the toy in any way you like (there is a detailed description on how to make a wire frame in the pattern); pocket size of this toy will allow you to take it anywhere and it will always be with you. The rat can be crocheted of any yarn; please see the photos of the toys made from different materials.

(Due to the presence of small parts, this toy is not suitable for the children under 10)

The pattern describes the rat made from the following materials:

1. Basic crochet skills: chain stitch, magic ring, single crochet, decrease, increase.

2. Materials:

· Yarn: all of the same thickness. I use 100% mercerized cotton:

Basic yarn in grey, white for the eyes and black for the nose, Uspeshnaya by Pekhorka 220 m/50 gr (240 yds/1.76 oz);

Pink for paws and tail, Coco by Vita 240/50 (262 yds/1.76 oz)

· Corresponding  hook. Mine is  1,3 mm (US size 10)

· Filler

· Wire. Mine is a floristic wire 0.6 mm in diameter

· Sticking tape to cover the sharp wire ends and to join the wire inside the body

· CA glue

· Eyes, mine are 2 mm insertable eyes, black beads can be used instead

· Black mouline thread to embroider the snout

· Any means to add tone to cheeks and ears. Mine is oil pastel + a blender brush

· Scissors, needle, marker, pins, any instrument to work with the wire

3. My detailed crochet tutorial. Good mood as an addition.

This crochet tutorial is written in English (US terms) and contains 13 pages and 50 crocheting and assembly  process  photos.  Skill level – intermediate.

If you use the afore-mentioned materials, you’ll get a 10 cm (3.93 inch) toy
