Murrr the cat brooch crochet pattern, PDF in English

Let’s crochet this cute brooch – predator cat.

At nights the cat waits in ambush, observing the fuss mice make and choses the victim.

It is impossible to predict when he shoots out, but someone is sure to fall victim tonight )))

To crochet cat you would need:

1. Basic crochet skills: chain stitch, magic ring, single crochet, decrease, increase, half double crochet

2. Materials:

• Yarn. All of the same thickness. Mine is 100% mercerized cotton:

Basic yarn in wine-red, Pelican by Vita, 330 m/ 50 gr (360 yds/ 1.76 oz), yellow and black yarn to make eyes, Dandy by Kamteks 330 m/ 50 gr (360 yds/ 1.76 oz) (you can use a black Mouline thread instead)

• Corresponding hook. Mine is 0.75 (US size 12)

• Filler

• Black embroidery floss for eyes and metallized thread to make French knots (you can use beads instead)

• Fine wire to make the tail. Mine is a floristic wire, 0.9 mm

• Any means to work with wire

• Sticking tape to cover sharp wire ends

• Brooch pin, mine is 2 cm (0.7 inch)

• Scissors, fine needle, pins, marker

If you use the materials mentioned above, you’ll get a cat-brooch with a straight tail measuring around 9 cm (3.54 inches) brooch (4.5 cm – 1.7 inches – tail).
