Mia the girl brooch crochet pattern, PDF in English

Miniature doll brooches are unique and cute accessory, which can accompany any outfit to wear all year round. These girls can be quickly and easily made and it will not take much time. They neither require any special materials.

To crochet girl brooch you would need:

1. Basic crochet skills: chain stitch, magic ring, single crochet, decrease, increase

2. Materials:

• Yarns. Mine are lace, all of the same weight, 100% mercerized cotton:

Basic in beige, Miss by Alize measuring 280 m / 50 gr (306 yds/1.76 oz), lilac yarn to

make the dress, Daisy by Vita, measuring 295 m/50 gr (322 yds/1.76 oz), finer yarn (or

same as the basic yarn) to make the lacy edging – Dandy by Kamteks (330 m/50 gr –

360 yds/1.76 oz);

• Any thick (DK yarn) to make hair. I’ve used Baby Wool XL by Gazzal 100m/50 gr  (109 yds / 1.76 oz) (you can use thicker yarn);

• Transparent CA glue or any similar to glue on hair;

• Matching hook. Mine is 1 mm;

• Filler;

• Black embroidery floss to embroider the eyes;

• Any means to add tone to cheeks. I have red oil pastels + blender brush;

• Brooch pin. Mine is 1.5 cm (5.9 inches);

• Scissors, fine needle, stitch marker (thread of a contrasting color).

If you use the materials mentioned above, the brooch will measure around 5 cm (1.96 inches).
