Sleeping dragon brooch crochet pattern PDF tutorial,ENG

Let’s add up together to the collection of the sleeping animals. Sleeping dragon.

This crochet tutorial is written in English (US terms), in .pdf format consists of 12 pages and includes around 45 photos

To crochet dragon you would need:

1. Basic crochet skills: magic ring, single crochet, decrease, increase, half double crochet, chain stitch, slip stitch

2. Materials:

l Any fingering yarn. All colors are about the same weight. My yarns are 100% mercerized cotton: Pelican by Vita, 330 m/50 gr (365 yds/1.76 oz) in two shades of turquoise (main and to make the crest)

l Matching hook. Mine is 0.75 mm (metric)

l Filler

l A cut (`20 cm or 8 inches) to make the frame, for the brooch to keep its shape, but it’s not necessary. A piece of wire to make the horns. I have a floristic wire 0.5 and 0.7 mm thick.

l Pliers and round pliers to work with the wire.

l Sticking plaster to wrap the wire around

l Glue will be needed to wrap around the horns

l Mouline thread: to wrap around the horns, black and white to design the snout and paws, metallized – to embellish the back with French knots

l Brooch pin, mine is 3,5 cm

l Any means to add tone to the cheeks and body. I used black and red dry pastels + blender blush.

l Scissors, fine needle

l Pins

l Stitch marker (I have a contrasting thread)

3. My detailed crochet tutorial. Good mood as an addition.

If you use the materials mentioned above, the size of the brooch will be 5,5*5 cm( 2.1×1.9 inches).
