Steam boat brooch crochet pattern, PDF in English

You can’t help thinking about the sea, travel, rest and romance when looking at this Ship (steam boat) brooch. Neither kids, not adults will be left cold!

My pattern is in a .pdf format, containing 9 pages and 35 step-by-step photos. The pattern is in English and is intended for those who already have some skills in toy crochet.

To crochet boat you would need:

1. Basic crochet skills: single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, increase, decrease, chain stitch, slip stitch

2. Materials:

• Any fingering/lace yarn, all of the same weight. Mine yarns are 100% mercerized cotton: Coco by Vita ( 240 m / 50 gr – 262 yds/ 1.76 oz) and Uspeshnaya by Pekhorka  ( 220 m / 50 rg – 240 yds / 1.76 oz) of different colors. To crochet the illuminators you will need finer yarn – Pelican by Vita measuring 330 m / 50 gr ( 360 yds / 1.76 oz).

• Matching hooks – mine are 1.25 mm and 0.75 mm metric

• Filler

• Transparent CA glue or some similar to attach the parts.

• Brooch pin, mine is 2 cm

• Scissors, fine needle

• Pins

• Stitch marker (I have a contrasting thread)

If you use the materials mentioned above, the brooch will measure 5 x 4 cm (~ 2 x 1.5 inches)
