ABOUT THIS PATTERN

This pattern includes step-by-step photo instructions and full-size pattern pieces to make a mini love bug stuffed animal. This softie is part of my Valentine’s Day collection. It’s perfect for Valentine’s Day or any day!

The bug has felt hearts at the top of its antennae and a heart-shaped nose and elytra. The bug is wearing a romper. It’s good to use a fabric with heart print for it, if you don’t have one, you can decorate the bib with a heart-shaped felt applique.
The romper is fully lined, closes with snaps. You will find it easy to make in spite of its small size, using my technique. The bug easily fits in a pocket and it’s perfect to take along for a walk or for a trip. Please note: The softie does not stand without support.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS:
– lightweight cotton (quilting cotton) for bug and romper
– felt for hearts at the top of antennae
The elytra are padded with fusible low loft batting
