★ SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE+ (many details, requires attention and experience).
★ FINISHED SIZE of the toy is about 30cm. Also in the additional file you will find a pattern for a reindeer twice the size (about 60cm). Print in A4 format.
★ MATERIALS AND TOOLS :

– I used:
for the body of the toy use double crepe fabric (180g/m², slightly stretchy) in light beige and dark beige colors;
for the sweater, shoes (elastic parts), cap (elastic part) use green rib knit fabric (340g/m², highly elastic);
for the vest, pants, shoes, cap and nose use viscose fabric (120-130g/m², non-stretchy) in green, dark green, and red colors;
for the horns use brown hard felt;
for the soles use black faux leather.
Note: Any fabric with similar properties will work (i.e. slightly stretchy for the body, thick and very stretchy for a sweater, fabric that doesn’t stretch for the rest of the clothes…)
– Eyes Ø5mm 2pcs.
– Nose ~18x9mm (made of fabric), see the instructions on page 20.
– Thick wire, at least 1mm thick (preferably floral wire, such wire is more rigid and holds its shape better, you can also use thicker copper wire in a wrap, it’s also quite stiff). For the legs use two pieces, each 21cm long. You’ll also need two pieces of plastic or cardboard for soles, as well as a few beads or stones to weight the legs, hot glue, and polyester batting (see pages 5-6). You’ll also need thin soft wire (copper or steel, 0.4-0.6mm) to connect the legs; see page 12).
– Several wooden buttons of different sizes for decoration, ~10mm (4pcs) and ~12mm (2pcs).
– Light beige thin yarn to create a pompom.
– Stuffing material (I used polyester filling, ball fiber).
– Black sewing thread (or floss) to embroider the bridge and eyebrows. White thin cord (or smooth cotton yarn) to embroider the semicircle beside the eyes.
– Beige, brown, red and green sewing thread, a needle, scissors, superglue, a sewing machine (you can do without it and sew everything by hand).
