Flower easter egg cover crochet pattern, English PDF, tutorial

★ Written in English, using USA terminology

★ SKILL LEVEL: EASY (if you have basic crochet skills you will not have problems with this toy, I add many lessons in this pdf-file)

★ MATERIALS AND TOOLS :

I used:   thin «Slonim» yarn in 3 threads (cotton+acrylic, in 3 threads this is 50g ~ 270m, near 40sts in 4 inches), colors – white, light yellow, green.

You can use any yarn that is comfortable and/or suitable for you. The main thing is to choose a yarn with the same  gauge – 40sts in 4 inches – to fit a medium sized chicken egg.

For example possible yarns (analogue for Slonim yarn in 3 threads):

Adelia AURA (acrylic, 50g ~ 250m) – gives the same crochet yarn gauge

Adelia MARIA (acrylic, 50g ~ 227m) – thicker, you get a cover for a large egg

Gamma «Iris» (cotton, 10g ~ 82m) – thinner, you get a cover for a small egg

For a flower part: floss in 2 threads, colors – pink, yellow (segmental) and 2 tones of green (lighter and darker)

– Hook №1 (1mm, for main yarn), hook №0.7 (0.7mm, for flowers)

– For the flower you will also need: a little filler, thin wire 2 pieces of 15cm, 2 beads ø3mm

– Needle, scissors, glue (Moment Crystal)
