Mouse sewing pattern and tutorial, rat, English PDF

Using this pattern you can create such a cute Mouse with your own hands!

★ SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE, you must have basic sewing skills
★ FINISHED SIZE of the toy is about 17cm (without ears 15cm).
★ MATERIALS AND TOOLS :

I used furniture fabric (micro velvet) in gray color (a piece of 30cm high and 30cm wide will be enough, and if you take a cut from a roll, then a height of 11cm will be enough, this is the height with allowances of the largest part). You will also need the smooth fabric in pink color for the heels and inner ear parts (I used corset satin fabric).

Note: any fabric that does not stretch will do. I recommend using a gray fabric with a light nap and a smooth pink one with a little shine.

– For the scarf, I used plaid cotton fabric (a piece of 7cm high and 19cm wide is enough).

– Eyes Ø5mm 2pcs.

– A teardrop-shaped nose ~8x4mm. It can be made using black hot glue (you’ll also need a 5cm piece of stiff wire for the base of the nose; you’ll find the tutorial on page 12).

Note: for an interior toy, both glue-on and sewn-on eyes and nose are suitable, but if the toy is sewn for small children I advise using safety ones.

– The head can be simply sewn to the body, or it can be made movable: T-head cotter pin (2х20mm – 1pc), discs (14mm – 2pcs); washers (2pcs). You will find a lesson on cotter pin joints on pages 10-11.

– Stuffing material (I used polyester filling, ball fiber).

– Black sewing thread (or floss) to embroider the eyebrows. White thin cord (or smooth cotton yarn) to embroider the semicircle beside the eyes.

– Gray sewing thread, a needle, scissors, superglue, a sewing machine (you can do without it and sew everything by hand), thin stick (for the convenience of stuffing small parts).
