Lavender Cloud Dress for Blythe Dolls
I might have gone a little overboard with the softness on this one. This dress was a joy to make — layer after layer, lace after lace, until it felt just right.
The skirt features three full tiers made from a dense yet lightweight muslin. It holds its beautiful puffy shape all on its own — no petticoat needed. To add a touch of air and mystery, I tucked soft lavender batiste into the hem. It catches the light in a way that makes the skirt seem to glow from within.
Delicate lace, satin ribbons, and a touch of netting complete the dreamy look. The bodice is lined with white cotton fabric to protect your doll from any color transfer, and the dress fastens neatly with small snap buttons.
This dress is truly one of a kind. The lavender muslin disappeared from my fabric stash as suddenly as the inspiration arrived. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
