Interior toy horse “Creator”

Thus, the “Creator” horse was born.
One day, I saw an inscription of incredible beauty. It turned out that Rus’ also had its own calligraphy—Old Russian ligature. And I wanted to embroider it on a toy. The image of a horse is perfect for this. The horse’s name, “Lightbringer,” is embroidered in ligature.
On the back of the horse are embroidered patterns that I borrowed from Mezen painting (a type of household decoration in the 19th century in the Russian North). How wonderful that over time, our taste continues to develop, change, improve, and transform. I’ve always been more than indifferent to Mezen painting. And this year, I watched a program about it. In the program, the artist spoke about it with such warmth and respect, explaining the meaning of the patterns, that I was captivated)))
Just listen: the square pattern symbolizes plowed and sun-warmed earth; the circles in this pattern are planted seeds. Above this pattern is a stripe, as if with ruffles, representing the sky with clouds. The pattern with circles and crosses inside represents the sun’s movement across the sky. Apparently, the combination of the pattern’s simplicity and the deep meaning embedded within it is what causes such a great love for this form of folk art. “Sun-Warmed Earth” captured my heart.
