Level of difficulty:

1. Average level.

2. Basic crocheting skills and the ability to work with polymer clay are required.

The size of the toy made with mercerized cotton yarn (weight 200m/50g) is 25 cm or 9,8”

Materials needed:

1. Yarn for crocheting body:

– Mercerized cotton (color: grey, dark red, green). Weight 200m/50g

2. Yarn for crocheting wings:

– Mercerized cotton (color: dark green, blue). Weight 165m/50g

3. Yarn for decoration:

– Yarn of white color in small quantities

4. Yarn for feet: 

– Any light yarn of grey color

5. Crochet hook (choose the hook size based on the recommendations for the yarn you are using). I used 1.25 and 1.3 mm hooks.

6. Polymer clay of black color for making eyes and beak (or Yarn for crocheting beak of black color – weight 165m/50g).

7. Florist wire D=0.5 – 0.6 mm approx. 15-16 cm long for feet.

8. Needle to sew on wings and weaving ends. Approx 12-13 cm long needle to decorate the parrot.

9. PVA glue to making paws

10. Any strong glue to glue eyes and beak

11. Stuffing material: polyester or synthetic balls.

12. Acrylic paint of green, yellow, black and red colors to paint the body.  

13. Acrylic marker of grey color
