BEAVER and NUTRIA crochet pattern (or Capybara, Otter, Muskrat)

This tutorial contains a detailed pattern of crochet Beaver and Nutria (or Muskrat, Capybara, Marmot, Otter, Gopher). They differ only in their tail.

When using similar materials, the toy will be about 10”

You can crochet a toy from any yarn, but you will have to choose the size of hook, eyes and nose.

All my patterns are written in standard US terms.

The pattern does not contain basic course of crocheting – you should already have the basic knowledge!

To crochet you need:

– plush yarn Himalaya Dolphin Baby or analogues (100% polyester, 100g/120 mt or 3,53 oz/131 yrds):

* brown – 1 skein (№80337 Himalaya Dolphin Baby);

* dark brown – quite a bit for the beaver’s tail (№80336 Himalaya Dolphin Baby);

– 4 mm hook / US size G ;

– a little black and white fine yarn 50 g/200 mt or 1.76 oz/218 yrds and 2mm hook;

– strong brown thread for tightening the muzzle (you can use black yarn);

– 12 mm safety black eyes;

– safety black nose 18*13mm;

– fiberfiller;

– scissors;

– stitch markers, needles or pins for fixing parts when sewing (desirable);

– white and black sewing thread for sewing teeth;

– sewing needle and yarn needle (with a blunt end and large eye).
