I don’t recommend a specific yarn, leaving the choice up to you. The thinner the yarn and the smaller the hook size, the smaller the cat will be.

You can knit from any yarn, and your kitty will be different every time from the previous one! If you are not an experienced knitter, I advise you to knit a bear from acrylic, wool or cotton yarn for the first time.  Keep in mind that plush yarn is difficult to unravel!
