I’ve been making toys since 2006. All this time I studied myself, studying information on the Internet and being inspired by the works of other masters.
At first time I was making felted toys of sheep’s wool. I liked to create “a miracle from nothing” – a living beast from an almost weightless cloud of wool. But a quality felted toy must be dense, and therefore static! I also wanted to make my toys more alive and movable. So I started making fur toys on the frame.
Now my animals can take different poses almost as if they were alive. I try to make them as realistic as possible. I make a new pattern for each toy, always changing something and trying a new one. So all the toys are different and there are no two identical faces.
