Crochet pattern bundle: 2 unicorn brooch patterns, PDF in English

The bundle includes two patterns of the unicorn brooches.

(Due to the presence of small parts, this toy is not suitable for the children under 10)

 

To crochet unicorns you would need:

 

1. Basic crochet skills: chain stitch, magic ring, single crochet, decrease, increase, double crochet

2. Materials (for the unicorn with open eyes):

· Yarn: all of the same thickness. I use 100% mercerized cotton:

white – mail color, Pekhorka Uspeshnaya 220 m/50 gr (240 yds/1.7 oz).

pinc Vita Coco 240 m/50 gr (262 yds/ 1.7 oz)

yellow – for horn, Vita Coco 240 m/50 gr (262 yds/ 1.7 oz)

· Corresponding hook. Mine is 1,3 mm (US size 10)

· Filler

· Eyes. Mine are 3 mm insertable eyes.

· Tapestry needle to sew the parts, scissors

· Black DMC cotton thread to embroider the nostrils and eyes

· DMC cotton threads of different colors and fine yarn for hair

· Glue for eyes and hair

· A means to add tone to cheeks and ears. I have oil pastel + a blender brush

• Brooch pin, mine is 2 cm (0.7 inch)

· Optionally: pins, stitch marker

 

2. Materials (for the unicron with closed eyes, standing edge-on):

• Yarn: all of the same thickness. Mine are 100% mercerized cotton:

Main yarn in white, Pechorka Azhurnaya 280 m (306.2 yds)/ 50 gr (1.76 oz) and violet one for legs and nose, Vita Daizy 295 m(395 yds) / 50 gr (1.76 oz). For the horn I used a 3-fold DMC cotton thread (yarn of the same thickness as the main one is suitable as well

• Corresponding hook, mine is 1.00 mm (US size 10)

• Filler

• DMC cotton thread of different colors. Black thread to embroider the eyes, pink one – to embroider the heart

• Glue to attach the hair

• Tapestry needle to sew the parts

• Scissors

• Brooch pin, mine is 2 cm (0.7 inch)

• Optionally: pins, stitch marker

 

These crochet brooch patterns contain detailed instructions on crocheting, assembling and doing unicorn’s hair.

 

The tutorials are written in English (US terms) and contain 13 (11) pages and more than 40 (40) crocheting and assembly process photos. Skill level – intermediate.

 

If using the afore-mentioned materials, you’ll get a 7 cm (2.7 inch) and 6 cm (2.3 inch) unicorn brooches.
